I do not like the carphone warehouse, When you buy a phone off them, a few months down the line it packs in. I have had several phones off them in the past, and Every phone has developed a fault. I had a phone on contract from them, but it would not work after 12 days, I took it back, and they so called repaired it, but it was exactly the same. I took it in a second time and it came back exactly the same. I therefore said I wanted it swopping, and they only swopped it for the same make and model, They said they would send it for repair again, but I had not had the phone for 4 weeks yet, So I demanded it be replaced. they replaced this handset for a new handset, But this was faulty also, but a different fault than the first handset. They would not replace this handset and said I was to contact my service provider, this was Virgin. and Virgin said Carphone warehouse provided the phone, Virgin just provided the line, and the handset should be repaired or replaced by Carphone Warehouse. I told Carphone warehouse about this, but they refused to replace the handset, and would only repair the handset. I sent the handset to Carphone warehouse over 10 times, but it still was not repaired by Carphone warehouse. I struggled with the handset for the contract, then as the contract was due for re-newal, I cancelled the contract, and also changed to a new contract from my new network provider direct. I had problems with my first handset off my provider whom stated that they had a lot of problems with a particular batch of the type of handset that I had, and I could either have a different type of handset to the same value, or a new handset of the same type, but from a different batch. I chose a same type, and had no problems since. So I find that Carphone warehouse would of kept fobbing me off with a phone, yet a direct contract from a network provider will actually change the phone when they know the handset to be faulty.
